Holiday Inn

Client: Holiday Inn

Client's business sector: Hospitality

Country: France

Challenge: To identify areas in which the Holiday Inn in the Place de Republique, Paris could reduce their energy costs. M&C Energy Group began working with the Holiday Inn in Paris in March 2007, in cooperation with the Technical Director Monsieur Aubry.

M&C Energy Group's Strategy: Thorough analysis of Holiday Inn's invoices allowed the analytical team to identify areas in which costs could be reduced through a combination of negotiation and identification, pursuit and securing of refunds on behalf of the hotel.

Result: Several months after M&C Energy Group began working on behalf of the Holiday Inn, a sizeable refund based on incorrect invoicing of sewerage charges was achieved. Subsequently, M&C Energy Group focused on the hotel's electricity and gas expenditure, negotiating contracts in order to reduce costs.

M&C Energy Group's team also identified potential savings from the installation of high efficiency lighting devices.

Comment: Monsieur Aubry said, "We have been very pleased with the savings achieved on our behalf by M&C Energy Group. Their expertise in the market is second to non and their team analysed our expenditure, identified areas of saving and implemented the savings in a matter of months, ensuring our costs were reduced. The Holiday Inn is part of the Westbridge group who own a chain of hotels in France, it is planned that M&C Energy Group will extend services to other hotels in the group."
